Hopeless Records and Adam Fox Present The Great Big Susiepalooza Comp: Volume Three, A Pancreatic Cancer Charity Comp CD Featuring Sum 41, OK Go, Silverstein + Many More

Hopeless Records and Adam Fox The Great Big Susiepalooza Comp: Volume Three, a 100-track charity compilation CD for pancreatic cancer research, was released today on Bandcamp. The comp will benefit The Lustgarten Foundation, which is dedicated to raising money to fight pancreatic cancer (https://www.lustgarten.org/) and will help raise additional money to hold a benefit show this summer called Susiepalooza.

Susiepalooza was started in July 2015 after the passing of the compilation’s organizer’s neighbor, Sue Marchetti, who battled pancreatic cancer and passed away from the disease in the winter of 2014. An annual benefit show was started in honor of her and was comprised of local bands from Long Island, New York. The shows have so far been a huge success and have helped raise over $23,000 for The Lustgarten Foundation. This year will mark the fourth year that Susiepalooza will be held and the organizers of Susiepalooza hope to make this year’s show even bigger and better. This compilation CD is a step towards making this happen.

Hopeless Record’s involvement came about after the organizers had emailed them, as well as several other record labels, about having some of their artists contribute songs towards the comp. In addition to allowing some of their artists to take part, Hopeless had asked to help promote the comp and have their name on it in honor of a friend of the record label who had passed away last year from pancreatic cancer, Adam Fox. In the words of Hopeless’ president Louis Posen, “Adam Fox was a great friend to Hopeless/Sub City and deeply passionate about music. His memory and love of music live on and continue to make a difference through this awesome comp and show. We are honored to be a part of it.”

The compilation features 100 artists, including acts such as Sum 41, OK Go, Silverstein, Finger Eleven, Eighteen Visions, Creeper, Kississippi, Bayside, Aaron Gillespie, Chase Atlantic, Local H, Mest, Kublai Khan, Free Throw, ROAM, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and many more. The comp can be purchased for a small donation of only $5 or more at https://susiepalooza.bandcamp.com/album/hopeless-records-and-adam-fox-present-the-great-big-susiepalooza-comp-volume-three.
