Hey! Thanks for having us! All good with us. Busy with producing music at the moment, but nothing to complain!
Can you talk to us more about your song “Arapa”?
Arapa is one of our favorite projects until now. And we are pretty proud to release it on Oliver Koletzki’s “Stil Vor Talent”.
We started the track without a general idea where it’s going, but the moment we created this main synth, the further way to go was obvious for us.
90% of the sounds we used came out analog machines like the Sub 37, Minimoog and the Drumbrute for drums. We think this is reflected in the warmth and imperfection of the general atmosphere in the track.
Did any event inspire you to write this song?
We are always inspired from the people, who come to shows we play. You can test out new productions, see how the crowd reacts, and after that change certain elements in tracks.
Any plans to release a video for the track?
We always try to create some nice animated videos with the artwork of the release, or with material of live footage from our gigs J
But for this one, no official video is planned at the moment.
How was the recording and writing process?
The whole process was really fun and the best way to describe it is, that we rode the wave. With every element we added, we had new ideas on how to continue the project. The synth which gets introduced in the first break is like the core sound of the track. We tried to keep it simple and not to oversaturate the whole track.
What role does Germany play in your writing?
Germany is our home, the place where everything started. We think there is a connection on a specific level. The people here in Germany are going nuts on electronic music like most of you may know and every show we play is really inspirational for us – to see the people dancing to your music is the greatest gift you can make a producer.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?
Actually we are not planning to release an album in the next time. But we have some great EP’s upcoming and also some interesting collaborations with other artists are in the making. Stay tuned ????
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Next month we will a release a remix of Maksim Dark on Jannowitz Records. The rest is more secret stuff at the moment ????
Any plans to hit the road?
Yeah, in the next month we playing some cool shows, like the Stil Vor Talent Showcase in the Ruhr area and we also started our own event series “Hide & Seek” which already got some decent feedback.
What else is happening next in GNTN´s world?
This year we are planning our live set concept. We still thinking about the whole arrangement of gear etc but we try to make this possible till the end of the year.
