Directed by Prime Prodigy, who has previously worked with the likes of French Montana, Fetty Wap, andJim Jones, among others, the visuals for Alus’ ‘Aladdin’ don’t just excellently back up the assured girl power and braggadocious theme, that Alus sings about – from rolling around in the 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom to flexing on her majestic throne – but it also highlights Alus’ performance prowess, which she has honed from shutting down shows at SOBs, SXSW and Madison Square Garden.

Speaking about the inspiration behind her ‘Aladdin’ remake, Alus says, “When I first heard Not3s’ song ‘Aladdin’, I fell in love with it. The record immediately caught my attention and I knew I had to create a female version that was an exuberant celebration of all the women I know. No matter who you are or how you look, you can feel fly like Aladdin and that’s how this record made me feel. I also wanted the video to highlight the regal side of womanhood in all of us girls”.
