‘Best Laid Plans’ is their fourth release and isthe follow up to the recent and Jo Whiley backed ‘Place Called Home’ single. Recorded in London, self-produced and then mixed by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers), the new single will be available digitally at all major outlets. Future perfect, harmony filled psych pop at it’s very best, the track is just one of the many standouts from the band’s eagerly awaited debut album ‘Sky High And Submarine’ which is set for release in the Spring.
Formed just over two years ago after the break up of Goldheart Assembly, the Mono Club line up of John Herbert, Dan Bell, Jake Bowser, Nicky Francis, Kyle Hall have recently recruited singer / musician Lyla Foy (Sub Pop / Rough Trade Records). They released their debut single ‘Sky High And Submarine’ last year and it quickly became a big favourite of Steve Lamacq’s and was subsequently play listed on BBC 6 Music.
Mono Club, who recently played a ‘sold out’ show at The Water Rats in London in February, will announce more live dates in the very near future.
