First Live Concert to Inspire a Life Long Love Affair with Science Launches On Kickstarter!

“Our goal is singular: elicit the profound, life-affirming joy of scientific discovery,” said Composer Austin Wintory. “This isn’t a show about teaching nifty science trivia … it’s about enriching life itself.”

Award-winning Composer Austin Wintory (ASSASSIN’S CREED: SYNDICATE, ABZU)) and acclaimed filmmaker Anthony Lund (THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN, BREAKTHROUGH) hope to encourage curiosity and love of science through the emotional power of music and storytelling by launching A LIGHT IN THE VOID!

Today, March 15, 2018, A LIGHT IN THE VOID starts its journey on crowd-funding site Kickstarter. A multifaceted all-ages live concert experience that tells the story of science itself through sweeping cinematic music, real-life scientists speaking on-stage (accompanied by the orchestra), and wildly entertaining theatrics. The multimedia concert will also include video packages and animations, all of which will be performed live and broadcast globally for the entire world to experience.

You can back A LIGHT IN THE VOID on their Kickstarter page now. Pledge rewards include the ability to collaborate as a Creative Advisor, an Illuminated Manuscript of Science, VIP tickets to the world premiere, and the opportunity to attend an Austin Wintory recording session as a VIP.

“Think of that awesome feeling you have when you’re sitting in a movie theater watching an incredible, life-affirming story as told by folks at Pixar, or when you hear an unforgettable TED talk that changes how you see the world, or when you see a live musical performance that makes you jump to your feet, like Hamilton,” said Lund. “A Light in the Void is our sincere attempt to capture that magic… for Science!”
