Tall Blonde has announced his brand new EP, ‘Wonderful’, released today, 9th March, on Swedish label, Diginorth / Musichelp.
Behind the moniker of Tall Blonde is timid indie-pop crooner Frithiof Stenvall. Based in Jokkmokk in the Northern forests of Sweden, Tall Blonde’s music is clear-cut and unpretentious, with similarities being drawn to the likes of Tom Odell, Cage The Elephant, Damon Albarn of Blur, Coldplay, or even an early Radiohead.
Frithiof initially found interest in music when he formed a band in 2013. The self-named project released three singles on BD Pop/DigiNorth and received support from blogs like POPMUZIK and HYMN, as well as lead Swedish radio station, Radio P4, but things took a turn in 2017, when two of the band’s members left and Frithiof suddenly found himself fronting a solo project. Not deterred by the unexpected news, Frithiof took the new name Tall Blonde and finished writing his EP ‘Wonderful’.
Speaking about the process, Frithiof explains,
“It feels great that I finally got the whole EP together, it has been a journey that has made me wiser as a person.”
