Mint Field is 21-year-olds Estrella Sanchez and Amor Amezcua, who together create a sound at once organic, spacious, and inhabited by specters that lurk behind rhythms. Following the release of their first EP, Primeras Salidas, the duo attracted international attention and secured plays at Coachella, SXSW and venues throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

Mint Field recorded Pasar De Las Luces in Detroit with producer Christopher Koltay and according to the women, “a much clearer idea of what we wanted and we had the tools to make it.” The full-length clarifies a commitment to channeling inspirations and influences to transmit sentiments of profound sorrow, nostalgia and beauty, revisiting sounds from the past to make them contemporary. Its 13 immaculate tracks nod to everything from dream pop to krautrock to heavy stoner jams to fuzz-saturated shoegaze.
