ILLUSTRIOUS BURLESQUE ICON DITA VON TEESE ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN RUN OF HER “THE ART OF THE TEESE” VARIETY SHOW

International Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese, will be thrilling European fans with her highly-anticipated evening of glamour and seduction in her critically acclaimed show, “The Art of the Teese”, coming to London Palladium on 26 and 27 October 2018. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 9 March at 10am via www.myticket.co.uk

“Although I’ve traveled all over Europe to perform my martini glass act as a guest star in other shows, for fashion events, television programs and such… I’ve always dreamed of bringing my full-length revue to Europe,” says Dita. She continues, “Because of our lavish production, it seemed impossible until now. I’m very excited that for the first time ever, I’m coming to Europe with all the signature props and sets I’m known for, along with an all-star cast of the best of burlesque from all over the world. I’m so thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to present this revue that I feel represents the multi-faceted glamour of neo-burlesque that is seeing a revival bigger than I could have ever imagined!”

Each show throughout the tour will showcase the stunning visuals of the exclusive acts that have made Von Teese the consummate performer in modern burlesque, captivating the imagination and transporting audiences worldwide. The decadent spectacle treats audiences to four of Von Teese’s most exhilarating performances, including a brand new version of her iconic “Martini Glass” routine which features a beautiful new baroque style gilded champagne glass, crystallized from top to bottom with over 150,000 Swarovski crystals. With dazzling haute couture costumes by Jenny Packham, Catherine D’Lish and Mr. Pearl, plus elaborate custom-designed stilettos created exclusively by Christian Louboutin, the show is a fashionista’s ultimate fantasy in motion.

Along with her world-renowned champagne glass act,  “The Art of the Teese”  tour also showcases more of Dita’s most revered striptease acts, including a technicolor musical striptease scene “Lazy”, the ballet-themed burlesque “Swan Lake Stripteese”, plus her show-stopping Rhinestone Cowgirl Act with her handsome, high-stepping male “Vontourage.” Fans will also enjoy seeing her fellow cast members perform with some of Dita’s signature stage props, including her crystallized carousel horse, a giant sparkling red heart, and a golden claw-foot bathtub.

With its diversity in casting, “The Art of the Teese” is known for celebrating both the male and female form with a variety of body shapes, ages, and ethnicities. The inspired audiences often come dressed to the nines, creating an unforgettable, uplifting atmosphere that brings together fans that, like Dita, love the art of glamour and vintage style.

Von Teese’s show “The Art of the Teese” plays to sold out audiences in cities across the United States, Canada and Australia. With millions of tickets sold and unprecedented production in burlesque, Dita’s self-produced full-length revues are the biggest touring shows in the history of burlesque.
