Brisbane, Australia post-alternative rock outfit Between Kings‘ debut album “The Escape” is set for release on May 4th via Regime Music Group. The band has released the video for their second single “To The Wolves”.

About the song, the band comments:

“To The Wolves” is written with the intention of reaching people on a personal level and encouraging them to ask for help when they feel they can’t get by alone. The song is an experience of insecure emotional intensity with a desire to leave it all behind before it devours you. It’s the story of someone who has given up on hope but wants to escape before they are too far gone, to break down the emotionally heavy walls that confine them and be free.

As for the creation, the only story that comes to mind is I was writing it and had the, “Soon I’ll be gone” gang vocals idea. It was 4:00am so I’m screaming soon I’ll be gone over and over and the neighbors the next day called to ask if everything is alright. Besides that, I just locked myself away for months to write the album with Nic and I then doing lyrics and melody when the music was done.

👑 Between Kings - To The Wolves (Lyric Video)

Between Kings  – which consist of members Nic Machuca (Vocals), Jordan Coyne (Guitar), Jayden Marsh (Bass), Nick Fanning (Drums) – The band dabbles with the heartfelt resonance of Twenty-One pilots, then mixes it with the arena-rock balladry of Imagine Dragons the next. The band’s triumphant use of melodic elements makes it irresistible for rock enthusiasts to throw up the horns, or even hit the dance floor. The group quickly developed a bond over their desire to create infectious rhythms and powerful hooks to bring together the sound that is Between Kings.
