Bells and Robes Releases New EP Pleasures of Mind Out 2/27/18

Duo Bells and Robes is excited to announce the release of their new EP Pleasures of Mind just in time for their highly anticipated performance at next weekend’s revered Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in Okeechobee, FL. The duo is comprised of Dean Spaniol on drums and samples and Luke Sipka on the keyboard. Pleasures of Mind is a follow up to the duo’s 2016 EP release How Could We Have Known, and marks the duo’s fourth EP release. First formed in 2012, Bells and Robes has gained momentum in the southeast over the past few years putting out a steady stream of solid releases and making notable appearances at festivals such as Imagine Festival and Suwannee Hulaween alongside artists such as Emancipator, ODESZA, and Papadosio. Combining the best elements of bass music, jazz, experimental electronica, ambient chillwave, house music, and classical, Bells and Robes proves their talents and range on their creative and forward thinking five-track EP. Pleasures of Mind is the perfect mix of electronic and organic elements resulting in an auditory bliss that is fresh, innovative, and captivating. Pleasures of Mind features guest performances from talented saxophonist Clark Smith (Dynohunter), R&B producer Animal Prince, and Nashville based band The Delta Troubadours. Blending atmospheric chillwave and brisk bass lines, Bells and Robes is an electronica duo creating a vibrant energy while concurrently soothing audiophiles into a fantasy-like state of reverie. The duo combines the high energy and crisp electronic sound of a dance DJ with the unpredictable improvisation of a jam band set. Performing over self-produced electro-soundscapes, Luke Sipka plays keyboard behind the boards while Dean Spaniol plays drums in the Atlanta based project.

After forming on the 2012 Winter Solstice and deriving their name from a Zen koan, the production duo has continued their musical journey by exhibiting the eclectic sound throughout the Southeast and the nation. Bells and Robes has shared the stage with ODESZA, Emancipator, Lotus, Beats Antique, Manic Focus, Papadosio, Break Science, Mr. Carmack, Soulection, Autograf, Kodak To Graph, The Heavy Pets, and Dynohunter to name a few.
