Today, Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kate Kay Es has released a sultry new single “Body.”CLICK HERE to listen to the track which premiered via Pancakes and Whiskey. Adorned with an enamoring blend of breathy vocals and siren-like beckons from a distant saxophone, the song explores a vulnerable sense of yearning and takes listeners to a joyful, synth filled outer space. “Body” is from Kate’s forthcoming debut EP which will be released in April 2018. This announcement follows the release of Kate’s first two singles “Working” (CLICK HERE) and “Love Too Hard”(CLICK HERE) which will also appear on the forthcoming EP. Despite this being her debut offering, she is no stranger to the industry. Having previously worked with the likes of Macklemore, Joss Stone, Mavis Staples, Ricki Lee Jones, James Morrison, Ghost Face Killah, Laura Mvula and more, Kate most recently hit the road with Kesha, playing keys and lending her vocals on The Rainbow Tour. Following in the footsteps of her jazz musician father, Kate is not only a stellar vocalist but is trained on the piano and saxophone. Born and raised in Adelaide, she went on to study jazz piano at a top conservatorium in Australia after which she moved to Brooklyn to pursue her career in music.
