Hymner release their second single ‘Bicycle’ ft. Alessandra viaTenacity Records – part of TEN Music Group (Zara Larsson, Icona Pop, Nikki and the Dove). The Finnish Stockholm-based duo released their debut single ‘Apart’ft. Bast during the summer of 2017 and has already achieved over 2.6 million plays on Spotify and gained plenty of attention from the media. In regards to ‘Apart’, ‘The Music Ninja’ said “the indie dance vibes on this one are unlike most things we come across, making it just the right first step for the group.”
‘Bicycle’ showcases Alessandra’s (previous winner of ‘DENNIZ POP Awards – Rookie Of The Year’) glassy vocals, which are married with the unique, effective amalgamation of offbeat acoustic steel-string guitar picking, and upbeat synthesized percussion. Alessandra’s vocals are dreamlike and really thicken the underlying melancholic texture of the single. Her 2017 single ‘Your River’ was described by NYLON as ‘a song to get lost in… this is good music’.
‘Bicycle’ is vibrant, and instantly recognizable as a Hymner track; they have expertly crafted their own unique style of writing.
After great support and response on their first single with radiorotation, strong playlist placements in Scandinavia and Europe as well as viral playlist placements in Scandinavia, we are all excited to see Hymner take it to the next level.
“After getting such an amazing response from our debut single, we are very excited to share our second – ‘Bicycle’, which features our talented, dear friend Alessandra. We love that we get to make Scandinavian style, melancholic indie with a beat that makes you wanna dance and leave your troubles behind. ‘Bicycle’ is a story about falling in love, feeling like anything is possible, and cycling to Mexico.” – Hymner
