If the last 12 months was anything to go by then 2018 promises to be a breakthrough year for North London electro-R&B artist Delaire. Releasing her debut single ‘Loving You’ during Spring 2017 and follow up release ‘Take It Slow’ later that year,

Delaire has already collated solid support with the likes of MistaJam, DJ Target, BBC Introducing (Delaire was invited to perform at the legendary Maida Vale studios for BBC Introducing), Hunger Magazine and Spotify’s New Music Friday.

Her new single ‘You Boy’ – out today – sees Delaire team up with Grammy award winner Liam Nolan, noted for his work on Adele’s ‘Hello’.

Delaire is an artist that chooses not to bind to conformities and in her sound and style she projects this. After hearing from a number of industry heads that she could be the next said artist, Delaire feels passionately about encouraging individuals to celebrate their originality and own unique character:

“I used to feel a huge amount of pressure to conform to this ‘ideal’ image portrayed within the media, it took time for me to be comfortable in my own skin and be confident with what I have to offer. As a 28 year-old female, I want to be a voice of encouragement for other women my age that are trying to break into the industry. I want women to know it took me time to find my voice and my sound and that that’s ok – we are allowed to take our time. I admire and respect all women in the industry for doing what they are doing and the way they are doing it. It’s our choice. Let us get on with it.”
