Australia’s MIA DYSON Heads To Muscle Shoals For IF I SAID ONLY SO FAR I TAKE IT BACK, Out March 9; On Tour with Jen Cloher, The Psychedelic Furs, at SXSW

Today, celebrated Australian artist Mia Dyson announces her upcoming release If I Said Only So Far I Take It Back, out March 9 on Muscle Shoals label Single Lock Records. If I Said Only So Far I Take It Back is the latest addition to an acclaimed catalog that includes 2014’s Idyllwild (praised by outlets like Rolling Stone Australia) and 2012’s The Moment (an ARIA Music Awards nominee for Best Blues & Roots Album). Mia has also unveiled the video for her new single “Fool,” which you can watch hereTo pre-order the album, go to miadyson.com.

Dyson kicked off 2018 with a sold-out US club tour alongside fellow Aussie Jen Cloher. She will hit the road again in March, touring withThe Psychedelic FursIn addition, Dyson will be performing at the SXSW Festival on Wednesday, March 14th at Weather Up in East Austin.  More details will be announced shortly.  The festival runs from March 12th-18th in Austin, TX.

Produced by Alabama Shakes keyboardist Ben Tanner and Dyson’s longtime drummer Erin “Syd” Sidney, If I Said Only So Far I Take It Back adds a stylistic unpredictability to her soulful, introspective strain of rock music. Along with proving her extraordinary magnetism as a guitarist, the album finds Dyson shaping each emotionally intricate track with a more intense vulnerability than she’s ever revealed before. The album also features such musicians as David Hood, one of the original Muscle Shoals SWAMPERS (who played bass on classic songs like The Staple Singers’ “I’ll Take You There”), and John Paul White (formerly of The Civil Wars).
