The Resistance Revival Chorus Performed with Kesha + Listen to “You Don’t Own Me”

On the heels of their moving performance of “Praying” at Sunday night’s 60th Annual GRAMMYS with Kesha and a cast of all-star singers including Andra Day and Cyndi Lauper, the Resistance Revival Chorus release their first recording, a cover of the Lesley Gore feminist anthem “You Don’t Own Me“. Launched in Summer 2017 in response to the Trump presidency, the Resistance Revival Chorus is a collective of more than 50 women who join together to breathe joy and song into the resistance, and to uplift and center women’s voices. Recorded in New York City at Reservoir Studios with lead vocals from Abena Koomson-Davis and Meah Pace, and featuring the entire Resistance Revival Chorus, the song was arranged by ArinMaya and produced and mixed by Little Shalimar (Run The Jewels). Artwork courtesy of  Ashley Lukashevsky. The release marks the 1 year anniversary of The Women’s March. In addition, the Chorus aims to raise awareness around #METOO, #TIMESUP, and women who’ve been victims of sexual violence. They are encouraging fans to donate and support Tarana Burke’s organization, metooMVMT.org
