Today, Juno Award-winning Toronto singer and songwriter Bahamas—a.k.a. Afie Jurvanen—shares new song “Bad Boys Need Love Too.Get it HERE.

It’s the latest track to be released from his fourth full-length album, Earthtones [Brushfire/Republic Records]—available in stores and at all digital retailers January 19, 2018.Pre-order Earthtones HERE.

“Bad Boys Need Love Too” hinges on a simmering slow burn of beats and bass that gives way to cheeky verses and smooth vibes. The track features female vocals by bandmate Felicity Williams and some spectacular hype by James Gadson [ Bill Withers, Herb Alpert, D’Angelo]—. It’s the perfect follow-up to the previously released Earthtones singles “Way With Words” and “No Wrong, which are both quickly approaching the 1 million mark on Spotify.

Using his unique ‘Way With Words’ (get it?) Afie described the track as:

“To all the dead-beat dads:
Bad Boys Need Love Too.
Kill em Wit Kindness
Show Love. Know Love
Bad Boys Need Love Too

Celebrating the release, Bahamas takes Earthtones on the road this winter. Dates are already selling out fast! See the full itinerary enclosed.

The album upholds a tradition of progression for the artist. Recorded in Los Angeles with the ultimate rhythm section—Pino Palladino [Adele, Ed Sheeran, The Who, D’Angelo] on bass and drummer James Gadson Earthtones represents another creative breakthrough for Bahamas as the sound becomes deeper and more dynamic than ever before.
