Detroit-bred singer/songwriter Quinn XCII has released the music video for his latest single “Flare Guns” featuring Chelsea Cutler today, directed by Blythe Thomas. Watch the video premiered on Earmilk here: http://smarturl.it/FlareGunsVideo. “Flare Guns” is featured on Quinn XCII’s debut album The Story Of Us, which is available now.

“‘Flare Guns’ concentrates on the constant struggle someone has with the temptation of contacting someone they know they shouldn’t,” Quinn explains. “Our goal in shooting the music video for the song was to capture that story on screen but in an ambiguous style. We really wanted to avoid the expected storylines, and shooting in the middle of a forest in upstate New York really gave us a fresh variety of approaches to try.  Chelsea and I never make contact in the video and I think that’s the real essence of the song – a guilty desire that is never fully fulfilled.”

“I had so much fun shooting the video for ‘Flare Guns,’” Chelsea said.  “It’s obviously always a blast to work with Quinn and our director, Blythe, was incredible to work with too. She really vibed with the record and understood our vision, which I think really comes through in the video.”

After selling out his entire national headline tour supporting the album release this fall, Quinn XCII is set to embark on Part II of The Story Of Us Tour beginning February 2018. Chelsea Cutler, who is coming off the release of her widely successful debut EP, Snow In October, will be joining him for the ride. The tour, which has already sold out almost half of the shows, kicks off on February 20 in Quinn’s hometown Detroit, MI and wraps on April 5 in Dallas, TX. See below for all tour dates.
