Palmyra Delran Releases Rockin’ Holiday Track “Coal In My Fishnet Stocking”

Guitar rock diva, songwriter, on-air DJ and masterful entertainer Palmyra Delran has debuted a cheeky new track “Coal In My Fishnet Stocking” for the holidays – CLICK HERE to listen and purchase! The track will be featured next week as the “Coolest Song In The World” on Little Steven Van Zandt’s worldwide terrestrial radio show Underground Garage, and on his SiriusXM channel 21 next week, where Palmyra also hostsher own show.

“Palmyra’s Trash-Pop Shindig” airs Sunday mornings from 8am-noon EST, and delivers a rebellious range of sweet surf sounds, rambunctious rock n’ roll and everything in between – the sort of eclectic lineup listeners have come to expect from the host Little Steven calls “the Lucille Ball of rock n’ roll.” This week, Palmyra will be filling in for Michael des Barres’ showon the Underground Garage, airing daily at 8am ET.

Packing more melody than her riot grrrl counterparts and more rock grit than most members of the alt-rock boy’s club, the rhythms and riffs of Palmyra Delran’s songs stand out in the punk rock landscape. As the founder, guitarist/songwriter and creative soul of trashy pop band The Friggs, she toured incessantly throughout the 90’s, opening for the Ramones, Cheap Trick, Beck and more, and released critically lauded album Rock Candy.

Upon the band’s dissolution, Palmyra poured herself into multiple musical projects, releasing unforgettable solo music and unexpected collaborations, including an acclaimed set of singles with LA supergroup Bubble Gun (John Carlucci, Laura Carlucci, Michelle Balderrama, & Rikki Styxx), that showcase the multifaceted nature of her talent. Her 2013 album, You Are What You Absorb, was met with praise for Palmyra’s adrenaline-rush rhythms, acerbic lyrics and potent musical skill. Palmyra’s enduring devotion to the “trashy pop” side of rock ‘n’ roll is clearly on display in this newest release, as is her unstoppable energy and enduring humor. She is currently working on new music – stay tuned for more details in the new year!
