Somerset-based multi-instrumentalist Frequency Cowboy has enjoyed previous commercial and critical success as a former member of Bristol’s Termites, working with John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels, Tracy Chapman) and Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack, New Order, Maccabees), touring with British Sea Power and recording at the acclaimed Rockfield Studios. Frequency Cowboy’s latest EP titled Move Closer was recorded in Bath, UK by Stew Jackson respectively, at the same garden-studio where Massive Attack’s ‘The Spoils’ was recorded.
A remix of Frequency Cowboy’s single ‘Control’ has been produced by Italy’s Spada. Soaked in sincerity and fuelled by energy, Spada surrounds Sam Hurt’s dynamic vocal stylings amidst deep, pulsing bass lines, sharp percussive beats and unforgettable synth melodies to encapsulate Frequency Cowboy’s most memorable quirks.
On the remix of Control, Spada comments: “..For me, it was a revisitation of the original, creating something totally different with different keys for the vocals and adding my own type of deep and dark melodies, sitting on deep-house beats”.
