Roaring onto the scene is none other than reggae-fusion artist King Lion Miguel. The globally diverse, multi-lingual (he speaks French, Mandarin and English) singer/songwriter is currently based in China but comes originally from a background of poverty in his birthplace of Camaroon. This winter, Miguel will be traveling to America for the very first time to perform with Grammy, Billboard Music, and World Music Award winner Shaggy onDecember 2nd at Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Additionally, he just released the music video for his single, “A Girl Like You.” The SHI Records artist is also gearing up to release his new LP in February 2018.
Miguel uses his soulful, dance songs to preach tales of triumph and togetherness. Miguel came from a heavily impoverished area of Cameroon, and worked hard to earn his master’s degree for international relationships, along the way discovering his passion for using music to bring people together. Miguel recently traveled back to Cameroon with IMCG Productions to give gifts to a local orphanage. Giving back to less fortunate children is something that has always moved Miguel and pushed him to work even harder, to show both young minds and old souls that hard work and determination pays off.
In 2011, while at a charity event, “Rock for Orphans,” Miguel had teamed up with French artist General Huge to create the ‘Ultimate Band Crew’ (also known as UBC) in Beijing. The band performed reggae, ragga, dancehall music mixed in with aspects of hip-hop and RnB. Now Miguel is on his solo journey to share his uniquely inspirational story trough his messages of hope, peace and unity strung throughout his music.
