Turkish supertar Ziynet Sali set to make a splash on the British music scene.

Born in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ziynet moved to Manchester when she was just a few weeks old where she remained until she was six. Her family then returned to Northern Cyrpus where she finished her education, before attending a prestigious music academy in Istanbul, the cultural capital of Turkey. It is partly because of her immersion into the culture of Britain, Turkey, and Cyprus that make Ziynet the international star that she is.

Ziynet Released her Debut album in 2000, a release that has been followed by an extremely successful seventeen years. She has since released 6 albums and 7 singles, had her track ‘Bugün Adım Leyla’ amass 44 million likes on Youtube, and won the award of Best Vocalist at the Euro Dance competition (a competition voted for by fans) in Italy in 2006. Her incredibly powerful vocals and large vocal range have made it very easy to attract a large fan base in many different countries around the world.

In 2010, Ziynet’s single ‘Rüya’ was the most played song of the year, and in 2012 her track ‘Herşey Güzel Olacak’ was given the award for Best Video by Turkey’s most prestigious music video station. She was also voted Best Female Act in 2016 at the DAFBAMA music awards in Hamburg. Ziynet is no stranger to success and fame, and the many awards that she has been given is a testament to this.

Having sold millions of records, and accumulated more than a hundred million YouTube views, Ziynet Sali can no longer walk around in Turkey without being recognised and approached by her many fans. She now plans to bring her stardom to England, with the release of her new single ‘Magic’ on the 12th of January. Watch here

The Album (that ‘Magic’ appears on) contains a wonderfully eclectic mix of musical styles. Some tracks are heavily influenced by her Turkish and Greek heritage, others are Hip Hop and RnB in their production, and some are, soon to be, pop classics. Ziynet wants this album to reach listeners outside of her current audience, a desire easily achieved with such a varied and diverse track list. ‘Magic’ combines pop-centric vocals reminiscent of artists such as Jennifer Lopez, with a high energy dance beat featuring a nod to Ziynet’s heritage, with a Turkish inspired drop.

The track was produced by Anthony Marshall (known simply as Marshall), an award winning record producer and song writer who has worked with artists such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Nelly Furtado – to mention just a few of his successes. He also wrote Craig David’s hit single ‘What’s your Flava’, which charted at #3 on the UK charts in 2004, and still holds the title for Craig David’s biggest grossing song.

Ziynet formerly used the UK as a quiet haven, a place that she could escape to where she still had anonymity – however this is all about to change.  Having already shown her ability to attract fans and generate millions of listens for her tracks elsewhere in the world, Ziynet is now ready to receive the same attention in the UK. With her single ‘Magic’ being released on the 12th of January, 2018 looks to be a very busy year for this international pop sensation…
