Today November 13th, 2017 Ryan Caraveo, a Seattle born and based artist being touted as “the next drake,” has released his upbeat, but lyrically somber new track Pumpkin Pie, is about imperfect people accepting each other’s flaws, inner demons, and the elimination of one’s expectations. The single comes ahead of the video for Pumpkin Pie –which has been accepted as a short film to this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Two weeks ago, he released his long awaited first single “Ghost” off up his upcoming 3rdindependent album just in time for Halloween partygoers. The song is a dark vibey ballad with highlights of EDM pop, the crooner reflectively sings about wanting to escape from reality, the regrets about chances not taken, and feelings of isolation. Ryan is the epitome of a successful DIY artist. In 3 short years Ryan has 2 albums under his belt (a third on the way) a handful of festival performances including mainstage at Bumbershoot, and on point artistic visuals and videos –one to be released which is accepted as a short film at SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL – all without the help of a major label or team. Ryan Caraveo made his first appearance in 2014 looking clean-cut, while his music was anything but that. His debut album Swingsgave listeners a taste of triumph, loss, heartbreak, and his battles with inner demons. The album’s most popular song, Paradise, has since been streamed above 20 million. In 2016, Ryan sold out several of the largest local venues, performed at Sasquatch Festival, and finished the summer by landing a main stage performance for the iconic Bumbershoot Festival. At the end of 2016, Ryan released another full-length album, Maybe They Were Wrong, which further displayed his preference for happy melodies paired with gloomy thoughts, with many drawing similarities to artists like Drake, Post Malone, Kid Cudi, Eminem, and Hippie Sabotage. Ryan has been touring the US through 2017 and his cult following has many eager fans awaiting his next release. Ryan has earned over56 million digital streams across all platforms since his last album release and is gearing up for his next project release in February 2018.
