Someday River took a bold step forward in their creative journey with the release of their latest single “Over The Weather” today. “Over The Weather” further solidifies Someday River as a stand out amongst the burgeoning rock revival scene currently blossoming in Florida. It’s sound is rooted in the heyday of guitar-centric, blues-based rock but still manages to put forth a modern twist that puts the band’s technical prowess and thoughtful songwriting on full display. Lead vocalist, Greyson Charnock’s voice floats effortlessly over a soundscape of intricate guitars and dynamic percussion in a manner that further solidifies the recent comparisons to Lord Huron the band has received, all the while still maintaining a vibe that is inherently unique. Check out “Over The Weather” now on Soundcloud or Spotify.
From Greyson Charnock:
‘Over the Weather’ looks at the interplay of meaning and perspective. It is a double entendre for elation, describing a good feeling… OR a sort of passé complaint on the season, a comment on your environment. It refers to a climate; could be atmospheric, could be geopolitical. Mostly, it’s the illusion of being stuck inside on a rainy day but it’s really just the sprinklers aimed at your window.
