‘Diehard‘ isthe follow up to the recent and acclaimed debut Spinning Coin’ and will be available digitally at all the usual the major outlets.
Giving a knowing nod to 1980’s American action movies and driving rock compilations, ‘Diehard’ employs nostalgic tones to explore themes of stubbornness, masculinity and self-destruction featuring the telling refrain of ’I don’t want to change’. These ideas are further expanded in the single’s lyric video, which presents itself as a re-discovered corporate VHS for some long-obsolete product or service from the era.
Recorded and self produced in his London studio, the new track sees the singer and multi instrumentalist accompanied by collaborators Rob Shuttz (bass / backing vocals), Meg Woof (backing vocals) and Nick Barrett (guitar) and is anindication of what to expect from the debut album which is set for release early next year.
Brand New Moon, who played a Huw Stephens Presents show at The Social in September, will announce more live dates in the very near future.
