This is the Columbus band’s first new material since 2016’s Crown EP. Nick D’ and The Believers reveled in an eventful year following, with a #1 Requested Track on tastemaker radio station WWCD 102.5, a national tour including support slots for Welshly Arms and Modern Electric, a live session at Billboard in NYC, and placement on the hit series, Pretty Little Liars.
Songwriter and frontman Nick D’Andrea says of the new track “I started writing it as a love song, but right around that time I got the news that my wife was pregnant with our first child. I didn’t know we were going to have a girl, but luckily for me, daughter rhymed with water. She’s now eight months old, and we’re finally putting out the song. It’s a love song to my wife, and partly to my daughter too. Nina Simone has always been a huge hero of mine… her name serves as a metaphor for my dream woman.”
