Acid Tongue Premiere New Video, Tour with Naked Giants, The Mammoths

Acid Tongue have unveiled a new music video for recently released, “Humpty Dumpty,” directed by Stephanie Severance, whose past collaborators include the likes of LA Witch, The Grizzled Mighty, Duke Evers and more. She tells us, “The concept behind the music video for ‘Humpty Dumpty’ was to integrate the love of sex and food together into one visual orgasm. There is no storyline per se, but rather an intense dose of visuals to let the audience use their imagination to create their own fantasy.” Severance, rambunctious bandleader Guy Keltner, and a small team of contributors completed the project in only two days.

Guy Keltner said of “Humpty Dumpty”‘s resonant themes: “Sometimes love is a rock, and sometimes love is an egg. I think most couples have this vision of growing old side-by-side and being all things to one another… The truth is, we’re all Tinder-loving, wine-gurgling, lonesome, depressed animals chasing what flees. We buy the first car that fits us, run the thing into the ground, and sell it off to the nearest teenager with a learner’s permit. Oh, to be young and in love!”

Acid Tongue debuted Babies earlier this year on Freakout Records and have just concluded a tour alongside Naked Giants. The rising indie rockers will pay their hometown Seattle a productive visit this month, performing at KEXP just before Freakout Festival, and begin a run with The Mammoths immediately following.
