Acre Tarn Releases ‘Wilderness’

Following a brief hiatus, Acre Tarn, the ravishing electronic music project from Anna-Louisa Etherington returns. Watch here

A singer/producer originally from the Lake District, the emotive, rugged landscape has clearly imprinted itself on an artist that incorporates swirls of jagged, disjointed beats cut into wide and ghostly soundscapes.

Rising above the synth tumult sits Anna’s visceral vocals that, frankly, put Acre Tarn in the excitingly rarified categories of Grimes, Cocteau Twinsand Kate Bush.

The trademark vast, rolling synths are ominous until they melt into Anna’s hypnotic, celestial vocals, creating that delicate balance of pure, enchanting power and industrial melody. Acre Tarn’s brutally elegant new track confirms the return of one of the country’s most unorthodox and exciting artists from an ever-more breathless and invigorating UK scene.
