After bonding from their studies and mutual love for music, SecretRendezvous began writing and released their debut album ‘Paint The Town Red‘ in 2011. The album was well received by blogs and media worldwide. The self-titled song ‘SecretRendezvous‘ was chosen by Coldplay for the Hypnofeed “Song of the Day” and reached over 300,000 plays on Spotify.
Jumping ahead to April 2016 after releasing a few singles between this time, the group released their single ‘Better Than She Can’. The single gained personal attention from Pharrell Williams and spun it on his Beats1 radio show, while Pause Musicale, Vevo NL and MTV France also supported. Near to the end of that year in November, the band performed at the MTV Music Week in Rotown Rotterdam where they launched their single ‘What About Us‘. The animated music video by Nepanto received critical acclaim by blogs worldwide.
Bouncing to June this year, SecretRendezvous released their single ‘Don’t Look At Me That Way‘ and announced the album release of their second album ‘For Real’.Leading into an ethereal space of 80’s disco-tinged synthesizer hooks and a barrage of signature R&B vocal stylings from Sietske, ‘U Send Me Flying’ is a product of sheer infectious songwriting. Band members Sietske and Remi Lauw comment “U send me flying describes the beginning of a cycle. That rush of a new crush.” Combining a collection of bouncy bangers that ooze with slick songwriting, their second album and new video release only proves that they’re a band to get hyped about, in the coming months.
