The Magic Es Release New Single

Following radio support with BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and BBC Norfolk, UK rock n’ roll band The Magic Es have released their blistering new single How Do You Sleep on all download/streaming platforms via Oh Mercy! Records. The new track welds punkish guitars to Britpop melodies and follows hot on the heels of their debut album It Goes On, released earlier this year.

“How Do You Sleep is written about the same character as our debut single, Melody Jane” explains frontman Pete Thompson. “Melody Jane was me trying to write Pictures of Lily – someone infatuated with a person out of their reach and dreaming of what it would be like to be with them. How Do You Sleep is a look closer at that person and realising that it’s all a front; that everyone feels pretty much the same pain, anxiety and woes regardless of how they try to come across.”

Since forming in 2014, The Magic Es have been busy. All lifelong musicians with world tours, top 40 singles and a wealth of musical experience under their belts, the boys came together after a chance meeting at a wedding led to them finding common ground in the simple pleasures of classic records. Fittingly for a band steeped in 60’s pop and classic rock, they’ve adopted a similar work ethic to their musical heroes – releasing a string of singles and a debut album in the last two years, and picking up press acclaim from XS Noize, Songwriting Magazine and many more in the process.
