Millie Turner unveils her second ever release, and one of the first song she ever wrote – ‘Eyes On You’. The song comes with a one-cam video, all from her own treatment. Watch here
The 17-year-old once again teams-up with producer David Turley, who helped craft the track that was originally conceived as a poem in a queue at an industrial museum in Yorkshire a year ago. Speaking about the track Turner had to say; “Like a lot of songs, it can mean lots of different things, but for me it speaks of people, and about being able to be with someone in a way that isn’t comfortable or pretty but human and honest and in some way more real.”
With its low key hooks and melodic beat, Eyes On You also comes with a stark video featuring a fresh-faced Turner performing the track. The track showcases Turner’s simple folktronic topline writing, which has already garnered comparisons to the likes of styles.
Maggie Rogers’ signature songwriting ‘Eyes On You’ follows up on Turner’s debut release, the David Turley produced electro-ballad “Underwater”.
