Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Thank you for having us! We’ve been great! Working very hard, as per usual, but great none the less! J

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Everything Sucks”?

Absolutely! Everything Sucks is exactly what you’d think it would be with a title like that haha; and that’s exactly how we wanted it. I feel like the last year has been a beating for just about everyone, and sometimes you just like to know you’re not the only one who’s pissed off about it!

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

It wasn’t one single event, it was more like the continuous tidal waves of life, one after the other over the past year or two that kind of lead me to feel this way.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

We released our music video on in early October actually! Hope you get the chance to check it out.

How was the recording and writing process?

Hell, more or less haha. Dan and I work full time jobs and have big boy responsibilities that make things rather difficult to work around sometimes. We would both work 9 hour shifts sometimes and get to the studio at 7 pm and work until around 2 am, and then be up by 8am to be back at work again by 9am. Like the saying goes though, “Find what you love and let it kill you.”

All in all though, its always a pleasure to worth with Mitch Rodgers and Andrew Baylis, really talented dudes and I know we’ll be aiming to work with them again in the future for sure.

What role does PA play in your writing?

Honestly, PA doesn’t do the slightest for me in my writing; at least not that I’m actively aware of. I think, given I was in the same circumstances, regardless of where we live it wouldn’t change the song writing much, or at all if that.

Would you call this a departure from your previous musical projects?

On the contrary, I would call this an evolution that clearly acknowledges our roots and where we’ve been. Don’t get me wrong, it is much different, but I think that same heart that was beating in past projects still beats here in this one. It’s just a little bit more mature, pissed off, and well spoken If that makes any sense haha.

Does your new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

No album just yet. It’s just a series of singles we’ll be releasing over the next couple months; And then maybe after its all said and done, we’ll release it all together as an EP or something.

Any plans to hit the road?

Working on it! Haha. Would love nothing more than to get back on the road and see all of our friends out there.

What else is happening next in Vicious’s world?

This coming year is all about building the brand and establishing a place in the tri state area. Hoping to be playing a lot more shows out state. Humble beginnings make for great success stories, or so I hear.
