In the wake of a temporary hiatus, Justin Jay has reemerged into the spotlight with his follow-up album, Home. The vulnerability and rawness within tracks like “Flowers” and “Stuck Inside My Head” are representative of his yearning for an appeal through emotion. With slow-to-mid-tempo tracks accompanied by elongated vocals, Home is a body of work that sews a thread of relatability for virtually everyone; every person struggles with the demands of life.
Though Home echoes a sense of isolation, collaboration led to the album’s fruition. Friend and past collaborator Josh Taylor helped Justin see the importance of synergy beyond the solitude, and allowed him to create a record that tackles real-world problems. Justin Jay’s Home is symbolic of life as an artist, and ultimately, a human being.
Be on the lookout for Justin Jay’s second album, Home, out October 12th!
