Justin Jay Releases Sophomore ‘Home’ Album

In the wake of a temporary hiatus, Justin Jay has reemerged into the spotlight with his follow-up album, Home. After gaining critical acclaim for his debut album Fantastic Voyage, he decided to bring everything back down to where it all began. Recorded entirely within the walls of his parents’ home, he shifted his creative process in the most simplistic way – with a notepad, iPhone, and piano. Stream here

The vulnerability and rawness within tracks like “Flowers” and “Stuck Inside My Head” are representative of his yearning for an appeal through emotion. With slow-to-mid-tempo tracks accompanied by elongated vocals, Home is a body of work that sews a thread of relatability for virtually everyone; every person struggles with the demands of life.

Though Home echoes a sense of isolation, collaboration led to the album’s fruition. Friend and past collaborator Josh Taylor helped Justin see the importance of synergy beyond the solitude, and allowed him to create a record that tackles real-world problems. Justin Jay’s Home is symbolic of life as an artist, and ultimately, a human being.

Be on the lookout for Justin Jay’s second album, Home, out October 12th!
