London-four piece ISLAND return from a summer of writing and recording with new single “Try,” and in doing so are ready to claim the title of most exciting emerging young British indie band.
Having risen stealthily through the ranks over the last year, releasing music independently and selling out their now signature live shows, the culmination of a year’s work is now starting to pay serious dividends with “Try” – the band’s inaugural single on new label, Frenchkiss Records.
“Try” is a cinematic and empowering offering, showcasing the effortless way in which ISLAND mix dreamy vocals with an infectious sound and relatable lyrics, intertwined with rich textures and atmospheric guitars. To coincide with “Try,” ISLAND release their music video for the track. Inspired by the film Ten Meter Board the video was directed by Axel Danielson and Maximilien Van Aertryck and you can watch it here
