Amplify Peace: Saving Syrian Lives is a project of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), spearheaded as a way to increase awareness of the critical medical relief work being done in and around Syria for those impacted by war. The organization is a 501c3 non-profit and is non-political, non-religious and provides lifesaving medical care to those affected by the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time. The tour, sponsored by SAMS, aims to increase awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Syria and help gather support and resources to save the lives of Syrians affected by war. Specifically, the Amplify Peace tour highlights SAMS psychosocial programs, helping Syrians at home and in displacement heal from trauma using creative outlets, including art therapy and play therapy. You can find out more about the program here. All proceeds from the Amplify Peace tour will go towards the SAMS campaign for children.
