Following the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘Hot Thoughts’ earlier this year, Spoon have revealed the video for one of the album’s standout tracks ‘I Ain’t The One’, directed by renowned British artists and filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (Silent Sound, 20,000 Days On Earth). The band, who played a sold-out show at Kentish Town Forum in June, will return to the UK for shows in Liverpool, Cambridge and Brighton this November, to coincide with the reissue of their 2007 classic ‘Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga’, out October 20th.
It has been a whirlwind year for Spoon, Austin’s most esteemed rock ambassadors, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down with today’s announcement of a new run of West Coast headline tour dates in January. Spoon’s ninth album Hot Thoughts came out to a cavalcade of critical ecstasy in March, and has sustained continuous praise in all the “Mid-Year Best-Of” lists, a sure sign of what’s to come as we enter the last leg of 2017.
Never ones to slow down, Spoon will reissue their 2007 classic Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga on Matador Records on October 20th before heading to Europe in November. They return stateside just in time for two NYC shows, newly added East Coast dates, even more national TV appearances (to add to their previous performances this year on Corden, Kimmel, Ellen, and Colbert), and a blow-out two-night New Years Eve celebration at the 9:30 Club.
Spoon bring their ‘blistering’ (The Independent 5*) live show to the UK for the following three dates in November:
November
Mon 6th Brighton, Concorde 2
Tues 7th Liverpool, Arts Club
Thurs 9th Cambridge, The Junction
