INTERVIEW: Pop Singer-Songwriter Lence George

Hi Lence, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’ve been doing great! Thanks.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Coming Home”?

I love the single, the lyrics, the production. I am proud of the results.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

My past relationship, I want to paint a picture where you have a lover who a continent away, and you are worried if he will ever come back!

How was the film experience?

The film experience was great, it was like an adventure.  You image it and you execute it. For example, be in the shoes of a soldier, that a special experience. But it was fun.

How was the recording and writing process?

The song was basically written at the studio of my friends, while we were discussing my past relationship. We took a month to record it.

What role does Oslo play in your writing?

People in Oslo are motivated and in good spirit. Oslo have a vibrant music scene, is a city that give a lot of opportunity to musicians.

Does your new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

In the future, we are going to release an album, but first we are focusing on promoting this Single. More single will follow soon.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

We have something nice coming up soon, the release will be between January or February. The title of the song is “Chap Chap”.

What other true stories would you be exploring on this record?

“There is a time for everything”, A stories about making choices.

Any plans to hit the road?

Yes, in the summertime.

What else is happening next in Lence George’s world?

Keep making good music, and touring around Europe.
