In the summer of 2015 Shane was grieving the passing of his best friend. Initially Tutmarc dealt with the loss submerging his pain with heavy drugs and alcohol, but things only grew darker.  After six months with still no relief from the sadness, and thoughts of possibly joining his friend on the other side, he found peace in creating new music and began writing and recording, the final product is Solar Twin’s debut Pink Noise.

One of the reasons I chose that title is because Pink Noise is supposed to be a healing, regenerative sound” explains Shane. “The upcoming Solar Twin album to me represents a rebirth.  After 10 years of following my muse down a more dusty, American roots path, this is a project that feels like complete freedom.
