The Bondurants Announce Release of Debut Album ‘The Devil Above’

After a busy summer performing at festivals across the UK, 5-piece alternative country band The Bondurants have announced details of their well anticipated debut album The Devil Above.

Consisting of Simon Pollard (guitar, vocals, songwriter), Matthew Lee (lead guitar), Liam Warner (drums), Ed Hicken (pedal steel, guitar) and David Robinson (bass), The Bondurants present a timeless 10-track album which draws inspiration from their key influences, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen and Ryan Adams to name a few.

Written over the span of a year by lead singer Simon Pollard, and produced by Andy Hawkins (Maximo Park, The Pigeon Detectives), The Devil Above is an open reflection on his relationships, family, friends, aspirations, loves, losses, his next steps, opportunities and the potential of change in the future.

Hailing from Leeds, the 5-piece have gained a loyal fanbase over the span of their career and had the opportunity to perform at well recognised festivals including Reading and Leeds. Popular with BBC radio, The Bondurants have gained the support of BBC Introducing leading to airplay across all 39 BBC local radio stations.

The album is set to be released on 9th October 2017 via all digital platforms ahead of an album launch gig to be held on 15th October at Headrow House in Leeds. No stranger to live performances, the album release is promised to be followed by a UK tour starting in December 2017 and carrying on throughout 2018.
