7 Awesome Songs About Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of the most favorites places of artists, movie starts, and even musicians. It’s the mecca for the people who like to party, have fun, and live their life to the fullest.

Of course, Vegas is all about the casino’s. They really do capture the imagination. Online casino’s are all the rage these days but they just don’t compare to the buzz of a real casino, and real casino’s pale in comparison to Vegas casinos.

Besides, the Casinos the atmosphere in Vegas is so intoxicating, with the bright neon lights, music in the air, and so many amazing people having the time of their lives, it’s almost impossible not to enjoy in this beautiful city.

Perhaps, this is the reason why we have so many amazing songs about Las Vegas. On that note- below are our 7 most favorite songs about the dazzling city a.k.a. the Entertainment Capital of the World:

Song 1Stereophonics – ‘Vegas Two Times’

Stereophonics is a popular Welsh rock band formed in 1992 popularly described as “classic UK rock delivered with whiskey vocals.

Vegas Two Times is about a Vietnamese taxi driver getting lost on the way to the airport. So, he goes around in a circle, thus seeing Vegas 2 times. It’s a simple story but told to a melodious and catchy rock music tune- an absolutely enjoyable music piece for the lovers of Vegas!

Song 2Hootie & the Blowfish – ‘Las Vegas Nights’

Hootie & the Blowfish is a US-based alternative rock band with five amazing studio albums under their name. Their music is often described as a pop variation of blues-rock.

Las Vegas Nights by Hootie & the Blowfish is a peppy and soothing song about Darius (vocalist) yearning for the Las Vegas Nights and wanting to enjoy them as long as possible. It’s a super fun song that you can’t help but sing along.

Song 3 – Gomez – ‘Las Vegas Dealer’

Gomez is an indie rock band from Southport with a music that has influences of rock, blues, folk, psychedelic, alternative, and experimental.

Gomez’s Las Vegas Dealer is a jazzy song about this guy losing his chips and getting close to losing the game hoping to turn the tables around. It’s a fun and funky song which you are sure to enjoy!

Australian hard rock band AC/DC needs no introduction. Even if you are not a big fan of their genre of music, you know who they are.

Sin City is a popular nickname of Las Vegas and as you could expect, the song is also about it- it’s bright lights, extravagance, and all the things the city is known for!

Song 5 –  Sheryl Crow’s “Leaving Las Vegas”

Sheryl Crow is not only a pop/rock/folk musician but an actress as well. She has released 10 studio albums and sold 50 million albums worldwide.

Leaving Las Vegas is quite metaphorical but many believe it’s about how people move to Vegas with big dreams only to end up becoming disillusioned. At any rate, despite what you make of it, it’s a wonderful song to listen to when you are in the Sin City.

Song 6 – Elvis Presley’s “Viva Las Vegas” 

The world knows Elvis is a true rock and rock legend which is why he is celebrated and loved all across the world. Why else would you think Axs TV broadcasted Elvis movies and concerns every Tuesday during August?

Viva Las Vegas is a song from a movie with the same title that starred Elvis himself. The song captures the glitz and glamour and all the fun things of Las Vegas. Just like the movie, the song is a classic.

Song 7 – The Thrills’s “Your Love is Like Las Vegas” 

The Thrills is an Irish rock band that was founded in 2001 in Dublin, Ireland. Their music is highly inspired by the American pop culture of the 60s and 70s.

Your Love is Like Vegas is a breathtaking song about a man comparing the love for his lover with the beautiful city of Las Vegas. If you are in the city with your girlfriend or wife yourself, then this song is bound to make your night magical!
