Northern Territory’s MurryRhodes has been working hard on delivering the next two instalments of his ‘Silhouettes of Song’ series since putting out the first volume last year. ‘Silhouettes of Song 2: Stoned and A Little Crazy’ and ‘Silhouettes of Song 3: Forever Never Came’ were released independently on July 20, 2017, with both albums featuring a rich blend of genres signature to MurryRhodes and his music styling.
Following a back injury from when he was young, Murry purchased a piano to distract from the pain – a decision which has now allowed him to pour his soul into music. Inspired by the demand for his music at his live performances, self-taught MurryRhodes marks 2 years to the month since he began making music full time.
After the successful release of ‘Silhouettes of Song Vol I’ in December 2016,
‘Silhouettes of Song II’ showcases Murry’s smoky vocal tones with another brilliantly curated track list, including renditions of Bob Dylan, The Animals and Johnny Cash.
Murry’s world-class soft warm tones bring a comforting familiarity to the tracks, while his unique stylings bring something fresh to each song.
The third volume in the series “Forever Never Came” follows suit with Murry lending his husky tones to fireplace-friendly covers of classics from artists including Frank Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Presley and Joe Cocker.
Soon listeners will be able to purchase a USB that comes packed with multiple albums and additional material. Registered holder’s of these USB’s will have V.I.P. access to specials and discounts available online and at Murry’s live gigs!
