The Philistines Jr Release New Music Video For ‘NYC’

Over twenty-five years ago, brothers Peter and Tarquin Katis began releasing music as The Philistines Jr. Multiple albums, tours, Peel Sessions and side projects followed throughout the 90s, their intriguing brand of experimental indie-pop simultaneously endearing and/or off-putting fans and critics alike.

The band re-emerged in 2010 with the sprawling “If a band plays in the woods…?” LP and have once more weighed-in with thier latest release, a stark cover of Interpol’s ‘NYC’ inspired by the band’s current ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ 15th Anniversary tour.

With Tarquin’s own children, Henry (14) and Helen (10) handling the vocals, ‘NYC’ in an exciting teaser to the band’s upcoming EP which is now accompanied by this fresh set of visuals. Watch here
