INTERVIEW: Luke Chilton

Hi Luke, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’m great! Thank you so much for featuring my new single in VENTS!

Can you talk to us more about your song “Lose Ourselves Tonight”?

This is one of my favorite songs on my upcoming E.P! This song definitely has some “Chainsmokers” vibes.  I really like the techno beats and tone this song has!

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

The song is about rekindling a love that was lost overtime and I was at point in my life where I regretted losing that person.

Any plans to release a video for the track?

The lyric video will be released very soon!

The single comes off your new album LUKE – what’s the story behind the title?

This is my first E.P and its basically an introduction to me and who I am. People can get to know me through my music.

How was the recording and writing process?

I was fortunate enough to be working with some great producers. The writing process flowed really smoothly as oppose to some songs on the E.P I had been working on for over 2 years.

How does acting influence your music and the other way around?

Sometimes music helps me get into character when I’m preparing for a role. Music definitely relaxes me. I always listen to certain songs to relax before an audition.

What role does LA plays in your writing?

L.A inspires me everyday. There are so many talented people out here and it  motivates me to work harder to improve as an artist.

What aspect of your life did you choose to focus on this record?

As I get older, I’m experiencing feelings and emotions I’ve never felt before. This E.P focuses on the “fun and party” side of me and also on my “emotional and romantic” side. I really hope people like what they hear!

Any plans to hit the road?

We will see what the future holds. As of now, I will performing around Los Angeles this fall which I am excited about!

What else is happening next in Luke Chilton’s world?

My plans are to work on new music and continue growing as an artist!
