Canadian metal/hardcore band Counterparts has teamed with Noisey.com today to premiere a new song titled “Haunt Me.” The song comes from the band’s highly-anticipated new album, You’re Not You Anymore, which will be released on Friday, September 22nd on Pure Noise Records. Pre-order the record now at http://notyou.ca.
In an interview with Noisey.com, vocalist Brendan Murphy spoke about the upcoming album’s sound: “We kept the traditional Counterparts sound but just took a smarter approach to how we actually execute songs. I feel like the main thing the band was lacking is replay value and catchiness on past records. We wanted to make sure we put out material that can keep the people interested after many listens. It helps give the record longevity.”
Counterparts’ gripping new album, You’re Not You Anymore, features 11 ferocious tracks, like “Swim Beneath My Skin,” “No Servant of Mine” and “Bouquet,” that blur the lines between hardcore and metal.
Counterparts is currently on tour in Canada, and has announced a North American tour with Architects and Stick To Your Guns that will take place in February and March of 2018. Follow the band at https://www.facebook.com/counterpartsband for more updates.
