Up-and-coming Rhythmic-Pop artist, Nick Hissom, releases the slinky bravado infused single “He Ain’t Better” via Massive Entertainment/RED MUSIC. The visually inventive lyric video is out now and you can check it out here.
Speaking on the release of the single Nick states, “I wrote ‘He Ain’t Better’ from a genuine perspective: if I can’t be a better copy than any original, I have to be the best at being myself. If you can be confident, but humble, that’s what’s truly hot. I love that people are genuinely connecting with the song, and through it, to me too.”
“He Ain’t Better” is the inaugural release on Massive Entertainment where Nick serves as one of the co-founders. “I’m honored, at such a young age, to be surrounded and guided by so many executive and creative veterans in the business. I am learning so much every day, and I am humbled and excited to be in partnership with our esteemed team at RED MUSIC and Sony Music,” says Nick.
As a company, Massive plans to bring new and innovative technologies and music to the mainstream by leveraging their advertising expertise and strong industry partnerships. Commenting on the venture Derrek Jackson, Co-Founder of Massive Entertainment says “The Massive team is super excited to join forces with Red Music. Our strategy for success is simple, we’re going to outwork everyone.” Richard Nash, Red Music SVP of Urban Promotions adds “I look forward to working with newly formed Massive Entertainment, a new venture formed by seasoned and talented industry professionals, Derek Jackson, diamond producer, Steve Morales along with their new artist and partner Nick Hissom. This is going to be a massive success!!!”
Born and raised in London, the now 25-year-old musician and entrepreneur set out on a journey of self-exploration at a young age that lead him to his true calling, music. “When I started thinking of what I wanted to do with my life, the resounding answer was to inspire others. Music is the universal language. It is blind to all prejudice and negativity and that’s why it is the medium through which I sought to express myself.” To that end, he teamed up with super-producer Steve Morales (Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguilera, Lil Wayne, etc.) and legendary manager Derek Jackson (The Roots, Scott Storch, etc.) on setting up 2017 as his breakout year with “He Ain’t Better” – that’s already surpassed 815k Spotify streams since release.
