Naomi Punk shares 3 videos off new album “Yellow” North American tour kicks off tomorrow!

Naomi Punk don’t do things halfway.  Its therefore no surprise that the last 4 days has seen the Olympia, WA band release not one, not two, but three new videos.  They rolled out “Cardboard,” “Journey To The Top” and “My Shadow” — tracks are off their newly released double-album Yellow (Captured Tracks).  Of Yellow the band’s Travis Coster notes, “25 songs of healing … we massaged lightly with a few radicalized commentaries & existential questions for our strange time … set to a soundtrack of techno poetry, psychedelic ambiance and alien landing sounds … stocked with groovy licks and vibrational atonement amidst the dense underbrush … calling out in song to our Mother Earth … the flowers turn their faces to the sun … bugs chirp … the ocean crashes into jagged rocks … we believe this is our most conceptually coalescent output to date.”

No strangers to the road, Naomi Punk are kicking off a tour tomorrow, September 12, in Boston, MA.  They will makes stops in Montreal, Chicago, DC, and Philly before ending October 9th in Brooklyn at Brooklyn Bazaar. A full tour rundown can be found below. More dates to be announced.

Naomi Punk is singer/guitarist Travis Coster, guitarist Neil Gregerson, and drummer Nic Luempert. Yellow contains 25 tracks clocking in at almost 75 minutes. The album was recorded by the band beginning in 2015 at various locales throughout Olympia.

Naomi Punk got their start in 2012 with the release of their debut The Feeling.  Like many bands it’s evident who they look towards as influences (Wipers, Dead Moon) yet like so few, they are able to create a sound that is singular to Naomi Punk. They seamlessly transfer what they create in the studio to the stage putting on intense, dynamic shows that tend to require the use of earplugs — they mean to be loud, and they are.
