KEVIN GATES Shares Letter To Fans + New Video for “What If”

Today, Bread Winners’ Association artist Kevin Gates shares a personal hand-written letter with his fans: the first words the public has heard from the multi-platinum rapper since his October 2016 incarceration.

Along with the release of the letter, he unveils an emotional new music video for his track What If.”

Gates proved to be one of 2016’s biggest breakout artists with his critically-acclaimed album []ISLAH, which became the only debut album released in 2016 to receive RIAA Platinum certification that same year for sales equivalents exceeding 1 million and solidified Gates as the highest selling hip-hop artist of 2016 behind Drake. Boasting 15 incredible tracks with no featured artists, []ISLAH made an astounding chart debut upon its January 2016 arrival, entering Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums” chart at #1 while coming in at #2 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 with sales in excess of 110,000 – the LA-based rapper’s biggest sales week to date.

According to a recent study by the New York Times, Kevin Gates was the #5 most-watched artist on YouTube in the US between January 2016 and April 2017.
