Charlie Parr Premieres New Video “Peaceful Valley,” Stream the New Album Now

Charlie Parr has released new song “Peaceful Valley,” from his highly anticipated new album Dog. He told Bluegrass Situation that the song “existed as an instrumental junk-rag for a long time before the story came up. It’s a fantasy about those days when I just want to go back into my little room, close the door, have some coffee, and lie around listening to records. I’d make a really good recluse, if I stayed home more.”

Over the course of a prolific career spanning 13 full-length albums, the Duluth virtuoso has earned a passionate following for his strikingly candid songwriting and raw stage presence. Dog is his most personal record to date, digging deeply into personal experiences with depression and the existential questions that weight it.

Charlie Parr is on tour throughout 2017. Highlights include an upcoming stop at Americana Festival in Nashville, a headline set at Mercury Lounge in New York City and two nights at the Cedar Cultural Center in his home city, Minneapolis. For full tour dates, see below.
