THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES PLAY RIOT FEST SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th

The unstoppable and tried and true Mighty Mighty BossToneS are: Dicky Barrett, Joe Gittleman, Chris Rhodes, Tim Burton, Joe Sirois, Leon Silva, Ben Carr, Lawrence Katz, John Goetchius. The band will be heading to Chicago this month for a special Riot Fest performance on Sunday, September 17. To celebrate the 20-year anniversary of their 1997 release “Let’s Face It, the band will be performing the full album in track list order followed by more BossToneS classics and maybe even a few new songs thrown in.

In December of 2016 the band released a limited edition 7”, their version of the song “What the World Needs Now Is Love” (produced by Lawrence Katz and the BossToneS and mixed by Paul Kolderie) featuring an unreleased original BossToneS song “I Won’t Go Out Like That” as the B-side. “What the World Needs Now Is Love” was originally released in 1965 with lyrics by Hal David and music composed by Burt Bacharach. “It’s a message and/or a reminder that we would like to share with the world for the holidays during these seemingly difficult and trying times. The song doesn’t take a side but it definitely takes a stance.” – says frontman Dicky Barrett

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No not just for some but for everyone”
