Dallas-based literary nonprofit WordSpace is excited to announce its 24th season with a launch party at The Wild Detectives in the historic Bishop Arts District. Live entertainment and a preview of upcoming events will make for a lively, music-filled and literary evening. The event features music by Inferno Texino, off-the-rail readings by novelist Brian Allen Carr, cheap eats and drink specials. The celebration takes place Thursday, Sept. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Wild Detectives is located at 314 W Eighth St., Dallas, Texas 75208.
“We’d like to start the season off with a bang, and a party always seems the way to go,” said WordSpace board president Charles Dee Mitchell.
The event is free to attend with dollar tacos provided by El Padrino. Join WordSpace at upcoming season events hosted at The Latino Cultural Center, South Dallas Cultural Center and The Kessler Theater this season. More details to be announced.
“Wordspace is one of the most important literary arts organizations in Dallas and they’ve been an ideal partner on events since we opened,” said Lauren Smart, programming director at The Wild Detectives. “We’re excited to be part of their upcoming season.”
