The group Seconds Before Landing will land with an experience different from any thing to that you have heard before, a concept that is simply different from the conventional thing, this project runs under the direction of John Crispino, a completely experimental, risky and unworried endeavor.
This one being his third album generates expectations bigger than his predecessors “The Great Deception” (of which it managed to obtain a great success with the track ‘welcome to the future’) and “Seconds before landing 2”.
“Wait ‘til it gets dark, waer headphones and relax”, it is the recommendation of the group to hear not only this recording, but also their music in general, guaranteeing this way to live through the experience that they want to transmit across the recording. Once you begin to listen to this, definitively, you will be paying real attention to it.
How to describe “Now that I have your attention”, there are no words to define this work, since it simply doen’t fit in just anywhere, the sound is not a product packed to the emptiness ready to sell, this is not someone’s shallow idea, is the whole speech, is a raw, realistic expression and that in spite of not being a persecutor of commercial success it doesn’t stop being pretentious to the moment to clarify the intention of being heard and appretiated. Crispino Accompanied by his current musical formation Steve Schuffert (lead guitar), J. D Garrison (Bass), Maurice Witkowski (Acoustic guitar), Jamie Peck (keyboards and horns) Vanessa Campgna, Carrie Marie Jackson (choirs) and his newest member Eric Maldonado (guitar) “Now that I have your attention” presents a courageous proposal, with diverse resources as there’s not only the instrumentation but also the synthesizer, the sound effects, out-of-the-ordinary voice recordings, and a small orchestration that twitches nerves with dissonant chords and environmental music from horror movies, this is what makes them unique, and it will surely attract more than one lover of cinematic productions of these genres.
When you listen to the record you will really feel that you are experiencing a paranormal experience, the music, the vibes and the atmosphere that this album contains will take you there, you’ll definitely feel that you are living it in your own flesh. And there is no doubt that the disc itself is totally a complete experience, you just have to hear it to check.
The album is composed of 12 tracks for a 91 minutes play, full of different emotions that you will be able to live during this experience, beginning with an intro that will enter you into the atmosphere that contains the project (It’s been a long time since I saw a recording production with an intro, this is really a trowback). I could do a track by track review but I really wouldn’t want to spoil the listeners’ surprise.
